Become a Mentor
Mentor a current Scholar
If you would like to volunteer to be a student mentor or professional mentor, share your expertise and help guide a new undergraduate into their career, we would love to hear from you.
Every Cowrie Scholar gets two mentors who can offer support and resilience – one peer student mentor who can help navigate university life, one professional mentor who can offer the benefit of experience.
The time commitment is up to you above the minimum (mentors sign up to offer 3+ mentoring sessions in the year of at least one hour, between the September and July academic year); we pay reasonable expenses. Some mentors choose to mentor more than one student.
We work with With Insight Education who help to recruit, train and manage each Scholar’s student (peer) mentor and support professional mentors. All mentors receive training, DBS checks and close links with the Foundation.
